Iowa Project A.W.A.R.E. at the library on April 15

In April, the Vinton Public Library will hold an April Library Love Reading Challenge. Join our latest Beanstack reading challenge, 'April Library Love!" Sign up in the Beanstack app or pick up a paper log in the library. We have challenges for all ages. Adults that log 600 minutes get entered into a drawing for the chance to win prizes!The fun begins on April 1st. Izaak Walton BB Shoot, Saturday, March 22
On Saturday, March 22, 2025, the Izaak Walton League will host a BB Shoot for all ages. Following a 30 minute safety lesson participants will be invited to join in the fun. Amateur grillers from across Iowa are invited to showcase their talent at the backyard BBQ competition, part of the BBQ & Brew at the Ballpark event this summer in Des Moines.Presented by the Iowa Pork Producers Association (IPPA) and the Iowa Cubs, the third-annual BBQ & Brew is a fun-filled, charitable event happening Saturday, June 21at Principal Park. 56th Annual Fish Fry March 29
The Lime Creek Fish and Game Club will be hosting their 56th Annual Fish Fry on Saturday, March 29th from 4-7:30 p.m. (or until the food is gone!)Cost is $20 per adult, $10 per for children 12 and older, preschoolers eat free.The event will be held at the Brandon Area Community Center.Carryout is available.
